The CPF in France

An opportunity to finance your French training

The Compte Personnel de Formation can help you to finance totally or partially your French learning programme.

Since 2015, any employee in a France-based company or unemployed person registered at Pôle Emploi, whatever their nationality, is entitled to CPF. CPF provides them with the opportunity to benefit from vocational training during their whole career. Basically, it legally allows you to take part into a vocational training and helps you to fund it.

You however should bear in mind that you only might be able to be granted total or partial funding for your training if you get a fully recognized certification at the end of it.
This certification is gained after taking one of the official French Language tests, such as the DCL Fle.

Our French learning programmes are eligible to the Compte Personnel de Formation (CPF).

How to take advantage of your CPF

The process basically depends on whether you will have your French lessons:

  • Out of
    your working hours
  • Within
    your working hours

As soon as January, 1, 2019, this process will change. It will be basically the same but you will be only able to use your CPF for training occuring out of your working hours.

You

Decide about your language training and contact with your CEP (Your career development adviser).

You

Collect from both your company and us all the necessary information which is required to ask for a financial subsidy.

You

Sign up or log in to your account at the official CPF website .
Fill in a request with all the information you collected previously.

You

Send your completed request to your CEP. The request will be sent to your dedicated OCPA, which is the independant organization in charge of granting financial subsidies for vocational training.

OCPA

Confirms that your request is complete and decides whether it can finance your training and in which conditions. The decision is communicated to You, your CEP and us.
Please note that we require you to directly pay your training in the first place. The OPCA will reimburse you at the end of your training.

Start the French learning programme with you according to the previously agreed conditions.

You

Take the official French test at the end of the training to get your certification.

We

Send all the required documentation to your OCPA to trigger their payment.

OCPA

Pays you the training as agreed before the beginning of the training.

Meet your HR or direct manager to ask for a French learning training with us.

Your Company

Validates your request and gives all the coming steps and process.
